My First Week in English Class
First Day of School
My first day in English class was quite exciting. I was introduced to my teacher Ms. Johnson who seemed very friendly and welcoming. She gave us a brief introduction about the course and what to expect in the coming months. We also got to know our classmates and their interests. The class was quite interactive and I enjoyed getting to know my new classmates.Grammar and Vocabulary
In the second week of English class, we started learning about grammar and vocabulary. At first, I found it confusing and overwhelming, but my teacher explained the concepts in a simple and easy to understand manner. We learned about nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. We also learned how to use them in a sentence to form meaningful paragraphs. We also learned new vocabulary words, which we practiced by using in sentences.Reading and Writing
Towards the end of the week, we started reading and writing short paragraphs. We learned how to write a composition properly, with an introduction, main body, and conclusion. Reading was one of my favorite parts of the week. We read a short story and answered questions about it. It was exciting to learn new words and use them in our writing. Although it was challenging to write in English at first, I found it rewarding when I finally understood the concepts. Overall, my first week in English class was full of challenges and excitement.
